I’m a 34-year-old local Town of Gawler resident and a Councillor serving my second term on the Gawler Council – we do not currently have wards, so I represent residents across the entire Council area.
Alongside my standard duties as an Elected Member, I have also put my hand up for various other optional Council roles and sub-committees. These currently include:
Deputy Mayor (since November 2023)
Infrastructure and Environmental Services Committee – Member
Community and Corporate Services Committee – Member
CEO Performance Management Committee – Member
Youth Advisory Committee – Member
Audit and Risk Committee – Proxy
Gawler Community House – Council Representative
Gawler & District College Governing Council – Council Representative

Gawler’s status as the oldest country town on the South Australian mainland is valuable to our local community, and also as an avenue for tourism. While new development is inevitable, I believe it is also important to maintain our community feel.
